01 / The Story

Beast.
Hotsauce.
Buckets.

September 20, 2015 was the day the first video ever uploaded to the BHB Trilogy YouTube channel was a parody called Chavez News, inspired by Villager News. But our story started long before that upload.

Chavez News — September 20, 2015

Growing up, sports were at the center of our lives.

Manuel, known as Hotsauce, and Eli, known as Buckets, played basketball. Stella, known as Beast, played soccer. These nicknames were not something we came up with ourselves. They were given to us by our dad. Over time, they became part of who we were and eventually inspired the name BHB Trilogy.

Long before BHB Trilogy had a name, our dad saw something in us.

— The Beginning

He bought us podcast equipment so we could record conversations with friends, family, and coaches. At the time, it was just something fun to experiment with. He thought it was something we would grow into and use one day.

He was right.

BHB Trilogy truly began to take shape once high school started.

Hotsauce took the brand to another level. Using his graphic design talents, he helped transform Bishop Amat's football Instagram presence. What started with football expanded into basketball, and before long, people throughout the school knew the name BHB.

From gaming videos to school projects, he was constantly creating and building. He was not just making content. He was establishing an identity.

All three of us attended Bishop Amat Memorial High School, where we competed in the sports we loved.

Hotsauce built an incredible basketball career. He was a 2x All CIF selection, scored over 1,000 career points, set multiple school records, and led the state of California in three pointers made during his senior season.

Buckets and Hotsauce shared the court together during their varsity careers. Buckets became a 2x All League selection, a 2x League Champion, and also surpassed 1,000 career points.

Meanwhile, Beast made varsity as a freshman, the only one of the three siblings to do so. She earned Defensive MVP honors, was named Second Team All League, and became a League Champion, all while continuing to develop into the athlete and person she is today. Having learned from her brothers while carving out her own path, she has never been afraid to share her ideas or dream bigger. While Hotsauce helped establish the brand and Buckets carried it forward, Beast represents what comes next. In many ways, she may have the most still ahead of her. Her story is just beginning.

Bishop Amat gave BHB Trilogy the opportunity to take its next step.

Hotsauce saw the vision. He had the determination to build something bigger than himself, and he executed it.

Working alongside our cousins' brand, Medina Media, Amat's sports Instagram pages evolved into pieces of art. BHB Trilogy gained daily exposure through school events, football games, basketball seasons, and the moments that defined high school life.

Eventually, people stopped calling Manuel by his name in the hallways. They simply called him BHB.

After leaving his mark at Bishop Amat, Hotsauce continued his journey at the University of Southern California, where he joined the football program's graphic design team.

As one chapter closed, another began.

Buckets stepped into a larger role within BHB Trilogy, serving as the brand's Creative Director. He designed and sold BHB T-shirts at school, launched podcasts, expanded into graphic design, and continued pushing the brand forward.

What began with childhood nicknames, sports, a camera, and podcast equipment had grown into something much bigger.

BHB Trilogy was not built overnight. It was built through family, competition, creativity, and years of showing up for one another.

And this is only the beginning.
